This privacy policy explains how Karelie ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when you visit karelie.com or join the Founding Circle.

We take your privacy seriously. We will never sell your data. We will never share it with advertisers. What you share with us stays with us.

1. Who we are

Karelie is a nutrition and community brand founded by Serena De Maio. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at info@karelie.com.

2. What information we collect

When you join the Founding Circle, we collect:

  • Your first name
  • Your email address
  • Your country of residence
  • Your optional response to "What brought you here?"

If you choose to refer other women to the Founding Circle, we will also collect:

  • The names and email addresses you provide for that purpose

We do not collect payment information at this stage. We do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Send you updates directly from Serena, founder of Karelie
  • Notify you when Daily Base samples become available, if you have expressed interest
  • Invite you to participate in product testing and community building
  • Understand who is joining Karelie and why, so we can build something relevant

We will never use your information to send unsolicited commercial messages unrelated to Karelie.

4. How we store your information

Your information is stored securely using industry-standard tools. We currently use Supabase to manage our contact list. Your data is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA) or with providers who meet equivalent data protection standards.

5. How long we keep your information

We will keep your information for as long as you remain part of the Founding Circle or our contact list. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw your consent to receive communications at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

7. Cookies

Karelie.com uses only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify you.

8. Third parties

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with service providers who help us operate our website and communications (for example, our email platform), solely for that purpose and under strict data protection agreements.

9. Children

Karelie is not directed at or intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify Founding Circle members by email. The most current version will always be available at karelie.com/privacy.
